Kevan Zalken - Dallas, Tx.

Maybe one of the older members of the Pro Staff, I am originally from Missouri where I started fishing farm ponds at age 6, tournaments at 18. I fished the BASS Professional circuit for four years and the FLW tournaments for 8 years. My nickname is JignPig for a reason, I will throw them any where, any season. I can credit Denny Brauer directly for my jig education after spending a full weekend with him on Lake of the Ozarks several years ago. I primarily fish for large mouth, but wont pass up the schooling sandies and hybrids that are here in Texas lakes. I currently reside in Dallas after spending a few years in New Zealand and I am an applications support engineer for a small chain of banks which is great since I get all the government holidays and my weekends. For those who care, I use primarily Team Daiwa equipment and my old 17 foot Pro Craft still goes anywhere I want to go! I love to teach techniques to newbies and will offer any advise I can when asked.

I knew several years ago I wanted to live in Texas for the extended fishing season and last year caught my largest bass yet (13.6 lbs) in Lake Fork. I look forward to helping Rick and Stealth Shad Lures grow and prosper. You can bet I will be throwing Stealth Shad made jigs!

Tim Cline - Sherman, Texas

Congradulations to Tim! He made the Weekend Warrior Championship as a wildcard. His four-fish, 8.99-pound sack pushed his 2-day, seven-fish total to 16.77 pounds. He finished 3rd.

Kelly Denham - Fort Worth, Texas

Kelly has fished primarily for bass for over 20 years. While in the USMC, he fished in a variety of different states including AZ., TN., and CA. After release from the USMC in 1990, he moved back to Texas and started fishing much more intently. He found the fishing bulletin boards on the internet and began participating in online discussions about his favorite subject, bass fishing! If Kelly is not on the water fishing, he is probably on-line talking about it. He has been actively involved on the Bass Fishing Home Page since approximately 1996 and the Texas Fishing Forum since 2003.  Sponsored by Plano Marine in Plano, TX., Kelly fishes from a 2005 Skeeter ZX250 powered by a Yamaha 250 HPDI engine.  He now fishes tournaments in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and for 2006 will be fishing as a boater in the BassMaster Series Chaparral division along with The FLWs Cowboy division of the Wal-Mart BFL.

Rick Dusek - Wylie, Texas

I am 27 years old and am a native Texan. I live in Wylie with my 6 year old daughter Kaitlyn. As intriguing as my occupation is as a web developer, my heart and mind reside with bass fishing.Ever since I was a baby, three weeks old to be exact, my Dad took me with him fishing. Some of my first fishing experiences, when I was old enough to participate, started on Lake Livingston in South Texas. I recall a perch being the first actual fish I caught. My Dad always served as my fishing mentor and we still fish together today. Of course over the years our fishing techniques and opinions Differ but he is still most often my fishing partner. As life stands today, my goal is to fish professionally within 5 years.I have a detailed plan on how I will achieve that. In fact, when it comes to fishing, I am detailed in every single aspect.I have to be to win. I am extremely competitive in nature. I joined a local anglers club in my area called Plano Bass Anglers.I served as Treasurer for a year. My Dad served as President. I have fished with Plano Bass Anglers since 2002. In the first year with Plano Bass Anglers, I weighed two fish. In the second year I finished fourth. In the third year (last year) I finished third. In the short time I have been tournament fishing I have done well. My awards include 2002 Heaviest Stringer of the Year for Plano Bass Anglers, CABA Christian Anglers Bass Association April 2004 Big Bass & 2nd place in the CABA tournament on Lake Lavon, 1st place May 2004 for Plano Bass Anglers at Lake Winnsboro, 2nd place March 2003 Plano Bass Anglers on Eagle Mountain Lake, June 2002 Plano Bass Anglers 1st place on Lake Lavon, February 2005 1st place on Lake Ray Hubbard; February 2005 Planobassanglers Big Bass on Lake Ray Hubbard, February 2005 105 th place Walmart BFL on Lake Sam Rayburn, February 2005 12 th place Solobass East Region on Lake Ray Hubbard. I have just signed up for BFL and will be fishing the tournaments this year. It is difficult to live with one foot in and one foot out but I am determined to achieve my goal as a professional bass fisherman and I am willing to make the sacrifices necessary to do so. My mentality is where it needs to be. I could not agree more with Kevin VanDams words, There is probably not a waking hour that goes by that I am not thinking of some better way to find and catch bass.

Steve Lynam - Dallas, Texas

Steve has been an avid bass fisherman for over 25 years. While in high school and college, he was a state champion and All-America tennis player. Since college, he has carried that competitive edge to fishing. Steve is sponsored by North Texas Marine in Fort Worth and Gainesville, TX and he fishes from a 2006 Triton TR-20X powered by a Mercury Optimax 225 engine. Steve now fishes the Bass Champs, Ignition and Hooters tournament trails in the North Texas area where he is on pace to finish in the top 25% of the standings in each trail.
